Today will be the first day of a rant.....
The Government workers!!
Ok, I do not intend to offend anyone here, nor do I wish to lump all these workers, agents, etc, into the same bag. Some are terrific (hmmm, I think I met one in the last 12 years) some are rude, incoherent, aggressive and some (or most) are downright lazy.
Where did the art of listening disappear to? Respect for fellow humans? and empathy?
I spent 6 hours last week collecting data for an agent, who then had to send all my information on to another department for clarification. Three days later I get a phone call from this department, the agent left me a voicemail asking me to call him back asap, he left his name but not his extention, after spending 40 mins on the phone I was eventually dispatched to him. When I introduced myself to him and said I was returning his call he asked me why. Well, I say, because you called me and asked me to speak with you, why? came the response, I don't know why, I say. Well, the agent says, how do you expect me to know when you don't give me any idea why you are calling. And so on and so on, around and around we go. The upshot? Agent saying, Call me back in another few days and let me know why you were calling in the first place, because, he says, if I have to look into it, it may take another 2-3 weeks to figure out......HELLO
